Share Your Music with a Direct Listening Link

A practical guide for THE WAVE artists: link to your song, add clear credits, share with relevant listeners and request genuine editorial coverage without spam.
A useful music link opens the recording you are discussing. For music you own or have permission to promote, share the song page rather than sending a listener to a general homepage and asking them to find it.
Choose the right link
Find your recording through Search. Check the title, credit and artwork, then use its share controls. Use a profile link when introducing your catalog; use a song link when asking someone to hear a specific release.
Tell listeners what they will hear
Include the song title, artist credit, genre and one honest sentence about the recording. Do not invent press quotes, listener counts or collaborations. If you manage or operate THE WAVE, disclose that connection instead of presenting a promotional recommendation as an independent review.
Put listening links where you already have permission
Add the song or profile link to your own website, artist bio or release announcement. An external website linking to THE WAVE creates a backlink; linking between THE WAVE pages is an internal link. Neither guarantees rankings, and some services mark user-posted links as nofollow or ugc.
Ask curators for relevant coverage
Prepare a short release story and send it only to outlets that accept your style of music. For example, musicto's track submission page explains its own submission process. Check its current requirements and whether your listening URL is acceptable before submitting. Submission is not acceptance, and coverage may not include a THE WAVE link.
Respect forum and Reddit rules
Read the current community rules and any pinned promotion thread before posting. Some groups accept original recordings only in dedicated threads; others prohibit promotion. Do not paste the same advert into many groups, impersonate a listener, or evade a removal. Ask moderators if the permitted format is unclear.
